Visit Beautiful Villa Armena near Siena, Italy

The Villa itself dates back to the late 1400s: it was built by Baldassarre Peruzzi, one of the most important Italian architects of his times and it used to be the countryside mansion of a noble family of Siena, the Malavolti’s. Today we are transforming it into a superb Relais with 10 rooms only, the smallest of which has a total area of 30m² and the biggest of 70m², each different one from another and all named after a prominent member of the Malavolti family. All the rooms will present an exquisite blend of old and modern which will ultimately result in a very sober yet extremely elegant effect.

But Villa Armena is not just a relais. We also have a gorgeous restaurant: "Il Sorbo Allegro". In an incredibly romantic room, kissed by the gentle light of a beautiful 360° fireplace, our Guests will have the opportunity to taste our delicious seasonal Menus, developed following the "Slow Food" philosophy and using only the freshest local products. Our own Sommelier Laura will help our Guests choosing the perfect wine for their meal: our cellar will offer more than 100 historical bottles and a series of small, niche producers who do not make more than 40,000 bottles per year and who are not so famous yet but who make an absolutely extraordinary product.

And then there is the SPA with its amazing 10 meters long glazed wall overlooking the hills, its beautiful indoor swimming pool and all the other features which make it such an outstanding place. On top of it our SPA will offer our guests something that nobody else does: the entire SPA will be open to a MAXIMUM OF 2 GUESTS AT THE SAME TIME. Which means that nobody will have to share the sauna or the hammam with a stranger. Ever. This is what exclusivity is all about.

Finally those Guests who, like us, care very much about our planet, will be pleased to know that their stay at Villa Armena will have no impact on the environment at all as our resort will be completely self sufficient thanks to its geothermic heating & cooling system and its photovoltaic panels.
