Not only can you get to skiing faster with Nakiska being Calgary's Closest Mountain but you can now ride to the top in less than 5mins with the NEW Gold Chair Express, a new high speed quad lift at Nakiska Ski Resort. After much planning and implementation, the resort will proudly be loading excited skiers and riders upon opening on Nov 7 when the resort opens for weekends prior to the official opening on Dec 5. Being the resort in the Banff corridor to have a new lift and have all main lifts as high speed quads, Nakiska promises to shine and keep guests smiling!

Nakiska is Calgary's closest mountain. At 83 km (52 miles) from the Calgary City limits, Nakiska is a short 49-minute drive. Head west on Highway 1, then south on Highway 40, and you'll be skiing or riding in under an hour.

Closer still is Canmore at only 56 km (35 miles), with it's many hotels, motels, or bed and breakfasts options. Total travel time: 35 minutes, using the same route along highways 1 and 40.
